The Invitation
The Summer Solstice is an invitation to delight in the glorious rays of the sun, both within and without. Each of us holds light in this world and at the Summer Solstice we are bathed by the rays of the sun and our internal fires are lovingly stoked by the nourishment that comes from it. At this point the Earth herself is abundant, she is filled with life and invites us to enjoy the bounty of what she has to offer. We are able to spend long glorious hours in nature soaking up the delicious vibes of love and inner peace that she delivers with effortless ease, every day filled with welcoming warmth and long hours of dancing daylight.
A Time of Completion & Transition
The Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year, it honors the Sun at its highest position in the sky as it gifts us our longest day of the year, past this point the days will start to get shorter. For this reason, the Solstice signifies both a peak or completion and a time of transition, this is why this period can also be a little disarming and spark moments of uncertainty. It is in these times that we are able to tune into the light within ourselves and nurture and nourish it in the same way the Sun so beautifully demonstrates, as it relentlessly shines upon the earth holding space for her journey. This inspires us to hold our own center in the deep remembering that with every shift there is always an invitation for inner growth and deeper self-knowing.
Divine Timing
As we move from action-packed Spring, filled with the fresh warmth of the sun’s glow, after the chilly winter and the excitement of planting new seeds, we are now given the opportunity to take stock of what we have planted. We can nourish ourselves in the glorious delights of long summer days, and develop patience as we allow divine timing to weave its magic through our desires and dreams. Energetically it somewhat echoes the cycle of the First Quarter Moon as a time to rest and self nourish after investing energy in springtime seeding.
